Title: Underwriting Manager

Location: Houston, TX

Description: Assists the Branch Manager in the production and development of desired bond business. Reviews and evaluates assigned bond risk under supervision of the Branch Manager. Accepts and declines risk within delegated authority. Manages an underwriting and/or support staff and may assist the Branch Manager with other management tasks as assigned. Maintains close working relationships with agents and assists in agency evaluations and relations. Underwriting authority is determined by the Branch Manager.

Requirements: College degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent business experience required. Minimum of five years underwriting experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with both internal and external clients. Excellent planning and organization skills. Ability to use PC applications. Demonstrates leadership skills.
